You can get an education
You are never too old or too young to get an education! If you are looking to just get a high school diploma or GED, there are lots of programs that you can do online or at night that can fit your schedule. There are many free resources to help you continue your education. For instant, there are many scholarships for those who have never attended college before as well as organizations like Trio, and the Step Up Program that can assist you in navigating the alternative of assisting to college as a first generation student. You can also approach the high school counselor office assigned to you, who can guide you through the process, as well as the staff at the admissions office in the different universities of the Nation.
If you don’t want to attend college, but want to attend a vocational school to become a welder, a plumber, even a truck driver, or participate in any other professional trade education program, there’s money available for you to attend a program to train and start earning money doing what you love and is of interest to you.
There are informational resources that you can access in community colleges as well as in the local libraries…you just need to have the interest and desire to seek the education that will allow you to have a better quality of live on the long run. In some states you can apply for the 2023-24 scholarships starting October 1, 2022 and you will need to use your 2021 tax information in the application.
