New Year, New Life!

We must understand the fashion trends that will prevail in the New Year when buying those new items of clothing that will become part of your outfits. What will be in fashion, starting January until the end of June? Even though the holidays are over, glitter and sequins are still in fashion to enhance the new beginning and the light and hope that comes into everyone’s lives with the arrival of the “New Year”. 

The transparencies, in pants, shirts or blouses and using woven fabrics such as crochet has become fashionable. Fringes and feathers on clothing and accessories arrived in 2022 and continue to be in all  rage. Fringes on the hems of the skirts, woven or imitation leather bags are becoming fashionable and if you are an advocate of ensuring good conditions that benefit the ecosystem, flora and fauna, make sure it is a good imitation. 

Pleatated skirts, palazzos and sleeves will be very “in”. Asymmetrical cuts, one-shoulder dresses, flared skirts with peaks, slanted cuts or asymmetrical flounces will prevail in the season. 

As for the colors that will be the most seen according to the greats of European fashion during the summer, strong and bright colors will be in style. Colors such as: 

Neon yellow that contrasts very well with the other colors, especially with tanned skin. 

Violet is the color that transmits a lot of drama, highlighting our personality. It is a strong and sophisticated color that, combined with lavender or pink, will definitely turn heads. 

Orange is the color you should bet on, because is the color of Summer and combine it with violet, yellow or green you will attract everyone’s attention! 

Red never goes out of style and is the most used color for decades because it fills with joy and transmits sensuality. If you want to brighten up, wear red. Remember that by combining different shades of red, they form an excellent harmony and will contribute to projecting a youthful and fresh image. 

The international catwalks presented us with the fabrics that will be in vogue for this season and although some have been setting trends for some time, changes and transformations in style, makes them appropriate for the season. 

Denim is used in the classic jean pants that are gaining popularity, becoming wider in the legs and even lower at the waist, although we must remember that lowering the waist distorts the figure and care must be taken not to use them tight to avoid “ the love handles” to be noticed. The denim will be used in everything: bags, blouses, shorts, skirts, jackets. 

Another trend in textiles is the use of metallic fabric with futuristic influences and designs. If you are daring and want to look different at night, that would be the perfect look. The elastic fabrics that are part of tight-fitting dresses are not far behind in the seasonal trends. Comfortable for day and night, using the seasonal colors, previously suggested, with asymmetrical cuts in the skirts, used in pants and blouses as well will be seen this season as  “spandex” combined with cotton for the hottest days, will become a sensation! 

In 2023, when you go to the stores in search of those special garments to add to your wardrobe, remember that: “the habit does not make the monk, but it distinguishes him!” Therefore, be unique and seek to feel good and be happy with whatever you choose to wear!
