Winter has arrived!

Winter has begun, this time ahead of schedule. With this, we leave behind the comfortable espadrilles, Bermuda shorts and bathing suits, to use warmer, more festive and more elegant clothes.

The most important time of the year is beginning and we must look good to receive or visit friends and family, share dinners and parties or simply walk around the city.

This time, we are going to talk about men’s fashion. Jackets, shirts and polo shirts are the order of the day for winter. Every man should have in his closet a comfortable zip jacket with “hoody” that allows him to cover himself from the cold and that can be used as casual clothing with “jeans” as well as can be combined with dress pants to attend a casual event.

The colors of the season for formal jackets are ocher, red, blue, white and black, preferably made of synthetic leather to protect the environment. It is recommended to combine them with matching pants or “jeans” to be fashionable. The accessories should be simple: the watch, the bracelet and the ring should be made of metal preferably.

Shoes are very important, since the personality of a man is known by his shoes. Therefore, they must be clean, without tears and in harmony with clothing. As it is cold, it is recommended to wear socks, whether to dress in semi-formal or formal clothing, for daytime activities and, for those more casual encounters, it is recommended to use the “no show” ones. Sports or tennis shoes, no matter how expensive they are, are not for every occasion! Wear them during the day for sports or jogging. Never use tennis shoes with elegant casual clothes or formal clothes.

If you wear shirts with long or short sleeves, they must be ironed and you can combine them with jackets or coats, remembering that it is important to look good when we take them off. If long-sleeved shirts call your attention, this season they are used with asymmetric prints, designs in bright colors in tune with the season of meetings, parties and dinners. Sleeves should never be rolled up in formal activities no matter how hot the climate feels. Only during the day, in more casual activities, it is acceptable to do so. Remember that it is about looking elegant at all times and you must see yourself as you arrived at the activity, without loosening your tie or unbuttoning your shirt… you must always see yourself as a true gentleman, looking impeccable and always handsome for what life can throw at you.

The “jersey” shirt is essential for the winter wardrobe. It can be combined with a jacket creating a semi-formal, elegant and tasteful effect. Yes, you can wear the turtleneck or the lowest one and with this type of shirt it is allowed to raise the sleeves to three quarters to feel more comfortable. Remember that the colors of the season are ochre tones, red, beige, white and black, which never goes out of style. Haircut, skin and hand care are an important part of projecting a neat and elegant image. Every gentleman must project the best of himself, therefore he must be neat. It is important to pay attention to personal care that includes a facial, manicure and pedicure, which is not just for women. In a competitive world where image is an important part of business and finding company worth spending time with, we must take care of our body, skin and our spirit to enjoy “healthy mind in healthy body”. Exercising at least 30 minutes a day, maintaining a healthy diet, getting enough sleep and drinking plenty of water must be the daily routine, for our body to survive the winter season without damage.
